7 OFFLINE CIRCULATION

 The Offline Circulation option lets you record transactions on your local computer in case there is a disruption with your computer's connection to the server. Your transactions, including loan, return and cash recording are saved in a file which you send to the server when the connection is re-established. The system then checks the transactions and produces a check report.

From the menu bar, choose the Circulation / Offline Circulation. The following form is displayed:



7.1 Offline Transaction for Loan/Return

To record a transaction, follow these steps:

  1. Choose the type of transaction, Loan or Return, by selecting the appropriate radio button. The window changes according to the transaction type that you select.

  2. Fill in the Library, Patron ID / Barcode, and Item Barcode fields. The Loan or Return button becomes active.





  3. Click Loan or Return.

7.2 When the Server Connection is Re-established

From the menu bar, choose the Circulation / Offline Circulation. The following form is displayed:



When the server connection is re-established, you can use the following buttons:
